The Mission of The Nightingale Tribute Nurses Society Honor Guard, Inc. is to assure that no nurse is laid to rest without proper recognition from their profession, for which they served with selflessness, dignity and love.

OUR BEGINNINGS

The Nightingale Tribute was designed and developed by the Kansas State Nurses Association in 2003.

The Nightingale Tribute Nurses Society Honor Guard, Inc. was formed by Linda F. Hill LPN in Naples, Florida on August 17th, 2010 in Loving Memory of Constance ‘Connie’ O’Connor L.P.N. whose passing inspired the creation of the recognition services.

On May 10, 2011, we became a Not-For-Profit Corporation under the name of “The Nightingale Tribute Nurses Society Honor Guard, Inc.”

Our Goals

  1.   Develop and maintain a set standard of delivery at the services.
  2.  Inform nurses locally and throughout the US about our tribute services.
  3. Support families and friends at the services, as needed.

“A big thank you to all nurses, actively serving and in-actively. We thank all of you for making a big difference in the lives of all you touch.”

THE NIGHTINGALE PLEDGE

I solemnly pledge myself before God and in the presence of this assembly,

to pass my life in purity and to practice my profession faithfully.

I will abstain from whatever is deleterious and mischievous and will not take

or knowingly administer any harmful drug.

I will do all in my power to maintain and elevate the standard of my

profession and will hold in confidence all personal matters committed to my

keeping and all family affairs coming to my knowledge in the practice of my

calling.

With loyalty will I endeavor to aid the physician in his work and devote

myself to the welfare of those committed to my care.
